Welcome! This web resource documents the ongoing restoration of the Mount Prospect Historical Society’s 1896 one-room Central School. The school is among Mount Prospect’s oldest and most historic buildings.
After more 15 years of continuous fundraising, the building has moved to the Society’s museum campus, and is FINALLY finished.
The goal of the Mount Prospect Historical Society is to again fulfill its historic roles of education center, community gathering space, and historic treasure.
