The Mount Prospect Historical Society held its third annual “History Crawl” on Friday, August 10, from 5 to 10 p.m.
As in years past, the Crawl showcased local businesses from the past and present, as well as discussed some of the area’s hidden history through the use of some colorful “characters” from Mount Prospect’s past. Some of these local stories may sound like the stuff of a Hollywood blockbuster: “We heared stories ranging from a buried gold cache, reputed Mafia ties, haunted buildings, prohibition-era bootlegging and bank robberies,” Peerbolte said.
In case you missed it this year, here are several photos of the event. Thanks to all who participated. It definitely was a fun event.
We look forward to next year!
